Nidderdale Children's Day Nursery based at Lingerfield, Knaresborough and The School House Nursery in Pannal, are both operated within the Kids at Heart company. The management team has over 25 years experience in setting up and running crèches, children's day nurseries and Kids' Clubs, caring for babies through to teenagers.

The nurseries offer facilities of the highest standard with many extra benefits for the most important, formative years of a child's life.

Nidderdale Children's Day Nursery is situated in the idyllic countryside of North Yorkshire. The accommodation is purpose built, including separate rooms for babies and young infants, plus a series of classrooms and activity rooms for the older children. It also includes a kitchen where our Chef provides delicious home cooked, nutritious meals; children's cloakrooms, visitors room, staff room and office.

The rooms are light, spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Outside there is a fantastic large, safe, enclosed play area with lots of opportunities for sharing, fun and learning.

The School House Nursery is situated within the grounds of Pannal CP School. This cosy setting provides separate rooms for babies, play/activity room and pre-school classroom, together with sleep room, kitchen and a lovely secure paved and grassy outdoor play area. We have good links with the Children’s Centre, Busy Bees Pre-School and Pannal Primary School, and provide opportunities to prepare them for smooth transition to school reception.

Our nurseries are Ofsted registered which means they have been inspected for the main strengths and any areas for improvement which may be identified during the inspection. Both settings have achieved Good outcomes in last inspections, which means all aspects of the provision were strong in the quality and standards of care and nursery education.

Kids' Clubs

Kids' Clubs are located at Western Primary School and Willow Tree Community Primary School in Harrogate. Care is offered before and after school and during school holidays for children aged between 3-11 years. Nidderdale Kids' Club in Lingerfield has limited placements for children from 4-8 years.

Located in welcoming, caring, stimulating environments, and there are a wide range of activities including varied arts and crafts, outdoor play and sports, games, quizzes and cooking. During school holidays a fantastic full activity plan is in place based on children's current interests and tried and tested favourites. Contact our Kids' Clubs or main office for more details.

Western Kids Club achieved a 'Good' outcome in recent Ofsted Inspection and Woodlands achieved 'Outstanding'.
