As we head into Autumn / Winter we look ahead to the changes in the weather, the nights becoming darker and how our environment changes around us. We will go on nature trails and talk about the animals we can hear and see around us. We will collect conkers and sticks and do some leaf printing to make some beautiful displays throughout the nursery.
We look forward to Halloween and the spoooooky activities that we will be doing, from baking to many different arts and crafts involving glue, sticking and having lots of Halloween fun!
During November we will talk about Bonfire night and how to keep safe. The children will make bonfire and firework pictures to enhance their creativity.
We will continue to explore our beautiful garden, playing in the mud kitchen, the mud pit, sand pit and our climbing frame and swings. We play out all in weather to ensure the children have fresh air every day as this boosts their physical development and their understanding of the world we live in. We will also continue with our weekly football coaching and dance lessons which enables expressive arts, as well as developing listening and attention skills, self confidence, spatial awareness and working in a team.
Finally, as we approach December at the end of the year, we will make some unique pieces of artwork that we will turn into Christmas cards, make Christmas decorations, enjoy a Christmas dinner and wear our Christmas jumpers! Our Pre-School children will then perform on stage in our Christmas Production…… what a lovely way to end another fabulous year.
