  • Spring 2019

We are full of excitement of what is in store at Kids at Heart!

During the first quarter of 2019, we will be looking at the changes in the weather and how that affects the environment around us. We will go on some nature walks and collect natural resources that the children will use to create some lovely displays and artwork with.

We play outside in our fabulous garden every day (whatever the weather!) and the children have the opportunity to play on our ride on cars, slides and swings. They will also spend lots of time in the sand pit as well as our mud pit and will no doubt make some muddy delights in our mud kitchen that is sheltered by our beautiful willow tree. Our construction area will keep the children creative and we are planning on extending our sensory area in the garden this year too…… watch this space!

February brings Valentines Day when the children will make some cards and treats for the special people in their families.

As Spring is sprung we will begin our gardening and will plant various seeds that we will watch  grow as the season changes and we will also some make bird feeders and will keep an eye out for all the wildlife that comes to visit us…..we are so lucky to have such lovely surroundings on our doorstep. We will utilise our outside classroom whenever we can and will bring inside activities outside to further stimulate the children’s learning.

In March we will make some delicious pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday and will also celebrate St David’s Day and St Patrick’s Day by participating in various activities.
Finally, Mothers Day is at the end of March, the children will create some special artwork and make cards and treats for the females in their lives.

We always take our inspiration for activities from the children’s current interests and are looking forward to delivering fantastic opportunities for each and every child.
