How We Track Your Child’s Progress

We use a combination of the EYFS two-year progress check, termly development reports and regular parents’ evenings to give you a full and reassuring picture of your child’s learning. Between 24 and 36 months, your child’s key person completes the statutory two-year check. Guided by Birth to 5 Matters, this assessment looks closely at communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional skills. We share the full report with you, discuss it in person and, with your permission, pass it to your health visitor to support joined-up care. Throughout the year you will also receive termly reports that summarise your child’s progress across the seven EYFS areas of learning. These reports are linked to observations and their Learning Journal, helping you see exactly what they are achieving and the next steps we are supporting. Parents’ evenings give you an opportunity to sit with your child’s key person, talk through their learning in more depth and ask any questions. These meetings are relaxed, supportive and focused entirely on your child’s wellbeing and development.
